So many opinions, so little time to voice them...I also just love the sound of my keyboard

Things I don't understand

I know that there are plenty of "un-glamorous" jobs out there, and I know that during the holidays especially the people in the retail industry are probably hit the hardest - both with the holiday shoppers pre-holidays and the returns by the unhappy gift recipients post holidays. I was shopping for shoes at Filenes Basement - they actually get a lot of shoes that DSW does - minus the crowds and those "socks" - and there was a mean mean lady there! She had to re-organize all the shoes that have been thrown around and she stood there cursing like there is no tomorrow. Literally cursing and bitching and moaning about how it was unfair that she had to do it. I had to get a pair of shoes that she just re-organized and she watched me like a hawk. Under all that pressure, one box, of course, fell. She glared at me and actually said "Man, did I not just organize that." I guess I was guilt-ed into putting the box back, although I would probably have just left it there normally.

On New Year's Eve I witnessed my first car crash. The scary part was that it could've been my dad's car. We were driving on Staten Island when a guy cut us off and ended up first at the red light. A few seconds later there was a bus speeding down the perpendicular street trying to make a left and cutting off the car in the other lane. The car that the bus cut off ended up slamming into the car at the red light that cut us off. One of the cars began smoking. I shudder to remember it to this day.

Two articles I find very interesting

Still Skinny, but Now They Can Cook - this one is about the popular vegan/girl power book "Skinny Bitch." It promotes a healthy, non Diet Coke lifestyle. Actually, in Diet Coke, or Coke Zero, news, I've not had a single Coke Zero in over 2 weeks!!!! Personal best!
